1. Blow-dry
"For the ultimate blow-dry hairstyle that easily lasts three days, you should always prep your hair with a heat protectant, no matter which one. 2. Humidity
"Good hair care is essential, even in summer. I'm a big advocate of leave-in treatments (like Fudge's One Shot) if you plan on styling your hair more than usual. My best tip is to treat yourself to a little extra pampering once or twice a week. If you're taking a bath or shower, start by washing your hair and adding more conditioner or using a mask suited to your hair type. Then, tie your hair back and wrap it in a warm towel. Wait for the towel to cool, remove it, and rinse your hair. The extra heat helps the product penetrate the hair shaft more effectively, leaving it healthier and more hydrated. Also, make sure you use a deep-conditioning shampoo and conditioner."
3. Fullness and moisture
"To ensure your hair looks perfect and voluminous even on hot days, use the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair type – nothing that weighs it down, but instead gives it body and moisture. Then, use a volumizing mousse, as it's not only perfect for fine hair but also for curls. It gives limp, thin curls real bounce again. Next, blow-dry your hair in sections with a round brush, or with a diffuser if you have curls. Once your hair is dry, you can use Velcro rollers. Pull the sections of hair straight up as you roll them, then remove the rollers and the roots for luscious, full volume. This method is also suitable for the curls we've often gotten overnight this year."
4. Curl styling
"After washing, wrap your hair in a towel to remove excess moisture. Make sure your curls are pointing downwards so they hold their shape as they air dry. Avoid using a brush, as this can cause frizz, and use only your hands to tame your curls. Spray on a curl enhancer to protect your curls from heat and promote soft, natural-looking waves. I swear by the Fudge Professional Curl Revolution Mist. When styling curly hair, you can dry it with a diffuser on low heat and speed, drying your hair upside down. Once your hair is dry, apply a shine serum to the lengths and ends."
5. Dry shampoo
"The best styling product in summer is definitely a good dry shampoo. It allows you to postpone washing your hair and eliminates excessively greasy looks. It's also a great product for creating shape and texture when styling. Did you know that dry shampoo is also a great alternative to hairspray? It gives your hair a much softer bounce and shape and is excellent for a more textured finish. Updos and braids can also be styled beautifully with dry shampoo. Don't be afraid to use it for more than just cleaning your hair!"
6. Blonde care
"It's important that colored and treated hair receives special attention during the summer months, as it tends to dry out more quickly. Therefore, it's a good investment to use salon products, as these contain ingredients that help the color look fresh for longer."
7. Quick styling
"If you have a date straight after work and need a quick style (and you haven't had a chance to wash your hair), try a cocktail of hair products for an extraordinary look.
